Physician recruitment and retention in Canada is becoming increasingly difficult and
costly each year.
The cost to recruit a physician to the Cypress Health Region can range from $10,000 to $40,000, depending on the specialty and location within the region. As competition to recruit physicians continues to grow, more aggressive physician relations programs are being developed to strengthen relations with physicians.
The Cypress Health Region has created a Physician Recruitment and Retention Plan to help with these issues.
