An initiative by the Employee Wellness Committee
As employees of our health care system, staff of the Cypress Health Region are all aware ofthe value of good health. Good health improves quality of life, the ability to enjoy friends, family, community, and coworkers. As the largest employer in southwest Saskatchewan it makes sense, then, that the Cypress Health Region sets a good example for others and supports its employees to enjoy good health.
As a valuable member of our team, staff have an opportunity to take advantage of a private & confidential health assessment screening . In order to offer this service the region has developed a comprehensive package and has enlisted the support and expertise from several disciplines. Staff assessment teams will include your physician, an Exercise Therapist, Certified Diabetes Educator, Chronic Condition Nurse Educator, Dietitian, and an Employee Health Nurse.
The 4-hour assessment will consist of:
Each part of the assessment will be completed at separate, private stations. Reports will be generated at each station and they will remain in the staff members possession throughout the assessment. At the 3-month mark staff will be given the opportunity for a follow-up assessment to measure their progress. Again, these results are confidential with only the staff member, their physician, and their Employee Public Health Nurse.
