Assessment & Treatment of acute injuries, orthopedic, neurological & respiratory conditions, mobility concerns
• Equipment Needs for optimum ADL and mobility
Long Term Care Facilities:
• Assessment & Treatment of acute injuries, mobility concerns and ADL issues
• Equipment Needs such as wheelchairs, walking aids etc.
• Splinting
• Consultation regarding transfers and positioning
• Seating Assessments
• Staff Education for provision of therapeutic activities
Home Care:
• Exercise Programs to improve/maintain functional abilities
• Equipment Needs to maintain independence
• Pre & Post Operative orthopedic surgery education & exercise programs
• Adaptive equipment for ADL
• Community Fall Prevention Program
Schools:
• Assessment and Treatment of neurological & physical conditions
• Sensorimotor Integration Assessment and Program Planning
• Education to Teachers and Teacher – Assistants
• Health Promotion presentations to students
• Participate in ADL/life skills programming for mentally challenged students.
Health Centers:
• Assessment and Treatment of outpatients presenting with orthopedic, neurological and respiratory conditions.
• Individual and Group Education sessions on a variety of health topics related to OT & PT
(NOTE: outpatient therapy in the rural communities is limited to those clients who do not have third party coverage or who are unable to travel to access private therapy services.)
Communities:
• Health Promotion and Disease Prevention to community groups and individuals on topics of OT/PT expertise i.e. back care education, osteoporosis, pilates, ball exercises etc.
• Fall Prevention Programs for individuals and groups.
